We celebrated the birthday of Sri Krishna on the 30th of August at our ashram, Mangalam Yoga Peeth.

We invited our neighbors and friends. About forty people including children gathered on this joyous occasion.

It was started at 8:00 pm by Ganesha Kirtan.

After that we sang many Krishna songs. Ladies sang in Garhwal (local) style. One lady automatically started to dance.

Puja started at 11:00 pm.

We moved from Yoga hall to the Mandir on the rooftop. Brramachari Jyotiji, who joined our ashram on 10th August, conducted all chanting and Puja. At the end of the Puja all participants did abhisheka (pouring) of panch Amrlta (5 kinds of foods milk etc.) to Krishna statue.

A lockdown is in place. We have not been allowed to go out for 3 weeks already.
Corona is affecting us badly.
We did Yajna for 3 days to avoid Corona.

We were requested a filter water machine by the Rishikesh School No. 8 in November 2019 as the next gift. But Akiko was not able to be in Rishlkesh from March 2020 to be involved in COVID19 problem. She could come back here in January. Today we contributed the school a filter water machlne on 9th April 2021 even though the children were not there as the school was closed from yesterday due to COVID19.

We celebrated auspicious day of Navaratri on 25th October 2020. We did Puja(ceremony), Havan(sacrifice) and Bhandara(giving a meal).

How are you? I (Akiko) am  in Japan now. I visited Nepal at the end of Feb and I was not allowed to enter to India when I tried to go back to India on 3rd March. Just I am waiting regular flights will work again between India and Japan. Now Swami Viswarupananda is keeping our ashram. We celebrated Sri Krishna Janmashtami at our temple. God bless us ! Om
